We had recently experienced the launch of the all new Apple’s OS X Mountain Lion. And now it’s the time for the users of Windows 8 to take a look at the improved and new features of the OS X Mountain Lion and see what makes OS X Mountain Lion more demandable than Windows 8 so that Windows 8 can modify its upcoming versions. OS X Mountain Lion is more of an updation whereas Windows 8 has is a rectification. The thorough study of both the operating systems have provided some results as to what makes Windows 8 lag behind. Following are the features of OS X Mountain Lion, which we expect will be present in the coming versions of Windows 8:
LIST VIEW OF THE MISSED NOTIFICATIONS:
Unlike OS X Mountain Lion, Windows 8 does not come with the list view of the notifications. It comes with a notification center on the screen present at the top right corner but it is not a list view. A list view helps the users to check with any missed updates after they finish with their important works which in the other case may have got distracted due to the notification pop ups.
IMPROVED MESSAGE SYNCHRONIZATION:
OS X mountain Lion allows message synchronization only for the messages sent by Mac users or iOS users. It is expected that the future versions of Windows 8 will come up with improved message synchronization for phones and PCs compatible with windows.
WIRELESS STREAMING:
Complete Wireless streaming also called the Airplay mirroring in Mountain Lion is one of the strongest features of the OS X Mountain Lion. In case of Windows, there is an application called the Smart glass app which will help users with the wireless streaming for sending contents to Microsoft Xbox 360. But with the Airplay mirroring feature gaining the fame, Windows is also expected to come up with such mirroring options between Windows based PCs and Xbox.
INBUILT NOTES AND REMINDER SYNCHRONIZER:
OS X Mountain Lion comes with an inbuilt synchronizer for notes and reminders. This ensures the availability of your notes and reminders on all Apple devices. On the other hand Microsoft offers paid application for synchronization. Although Microsoft offers a much better synchronization application called “OneNote”, but, we hope to see Microsoft overcome this drawback and come up with some free and better to use applications in the upcoming Windows 8 versions.
DEDICATED BUTTON FOR VOICE DICTION:
OS X Mountain Lion has a function key especially meant for the voice diction. This avoids the complexity of going through menus and sub menus to operate the function. Windows is expected to eliminate the complexity of accessing voice diction in their future versions.
